A custom dyed silk chiffon two tone dress; this slip is a unique assymettrical bias cut look. A cowled neckline and low cut back are finished with matching silk bias tape. The garment is finished throughout with french seams, and hemmed with a micro-purl edge.
The skirt has a triple layered peplum back, with the non dyed base fabric continuing in a draped cowl and cascade piece hand stitched to the front asymmetrical hemline.
This garment is made using the bias cut technique, requiring it to drape overnight to allow the fibers to relax; allowing the dress to conform to your body over time. This couture technique made with silk fabric also requires hand-basting of seams making it a highly complex piece.
